My objective with this project is to design a magazine article that is relevant to graphic design students on campus. I am promoting mushroom drinks as an alternative to coffee, by boasting its benefits.

Concept Sketches:
I curated this project to cater to the needs of fellow designers. I recognize that college students can get the jitters and caffeine crashes. My suggestion is to try mushroom tea for brain health.

I researched the benefits and varieties of mushroom teas and mushroom coffees, and I give credit of this article to the author and freelance journalist, Beth Krietsch.

Cover:
I included titles to other possible articles for a Graphic Designer's magazine. Mobile design apps create a designer's playground on the go, which I enjoy practicing creative ideation with. I also highly recommend Make Your Own Luck by Aries Moross.

Imagery includes a young woman with purple hair drinking coffee and looking at her phone. Cream colored text sits on top of a dark brown backdrop.
The spread includes a top-down image of tea and mushrooms arranged on a coffee table. A third image features a basket of mushrooms, emphasizing their fresh and natural properties. I chose to highlight the article's claim to mushroom tea as an aid for stress, inflammation and focus -- to engage coffee drinkers.
